Graduates generally pursue higher-level degrees in fields like Education, Business Administration, Social Work, Law and other areas requiring a bachelor’s degree. To earn a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies you must: – earn 120 college level credits of which 45 are upper division (300+ level)
– meet all of the general education and major requirements including focus designations
– design a coherent program of courses academically equivalent to a conventional major (36 credits or more)
– be in good academic standing – have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0
Currently, the only approved emphasis for Maui Nui students encompasses the “Human Relations in Organizations” theme. A written proposal explains the topic of your major equivalent and lists its courses. Your coursework can come from Anthropology, Ethnic Studies, American Studies, Psychology, Sociology, Family Resources, Women Studies, Interdisciplinary Studies, Geography, English, and Peace and Conflict Resolution, just to name a few!
